BALTIMORE, Md. — Christopher "Eric" Selami arrived in Baltimore as a newcomer to the tournament scene and left as a WSOP Circuit champion. The Los Angeles-based player outlasted a 413-entry field in the $1,700 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em Main Event, claiming his first Circuit ring and a $128,100 top prize.
The payday puts Selami's career in an entirely different bracket. The Hendon Mob had his previous best cash logged at just under $8,000. He has now blown past that figure by more than sixteen times over.
Harder Among the Casualties as Selami Closes Out the Title
The final table featured seasoned circuit grinder Christian Harder, who fell in seventh place for $15,065. Selami finished ahead of Manh Nguyen, who earned $84,380 for second place. Jose Cayetano earned $56,904 for third.
The Main Event wrapped up an 18-event WSOP Circuit stop at the Horseshoe Baltimore property in Maryland.
