Brock Wilson Wins 2026 PGT Sprint Event #2 for Fifth PGT Title of the Year
Brock Wilson defeated Martin Zamani heads-up to win 2026 PGT Sprint Event #2, claiming $110,600 and his fifth PokerGO Tour (PGT) title of the season. The $5,300 No-Limit Hold'em tournament drew 79 entries and generated a $395,000 prize pool.
The victory also earned Wilson 166 PGT points, moving him into second place in the Player of the Year standings. With 1,942 points, he sits 281 behind leader Sean Winter.
Wilson Comes Back to Beat Zamani Heads-Up
Jamie Dwan entered the seven-handed final table with the chip lead, while Wilson was among the shorter stacks. Wilson doubled through Andrew Lichtenberger early on, then eliminated him in sixth place after Jesse Lonis had knocked out Adam Owen in seventh.
With five players remaining, Zamani open-shoved for more than 43 big blinds from the button with king-queen. Dwan reshoved from the small blind with ace-king, but a queen on the flop put Zamani ahead. Zamani held to double up, leaving Dwan short-stacked. Dwan exited in fifth place soon afterward.
Wilson cut into Zamani's lead by doubling through him with pocket jacks against pocket threes. Lonis also doubled through Zamani, with pocket aces holding against ace-six.
Zamani recovered to eliminate Joe McKeehen and Lonis, setting up the heads-up match against Wilson.
McKeehen's ace-queen was ahead of Zamani's ten-nine on an ace-ten-two flop, but another ten on the turn gave Zamani trips and sent McKeehen out in fourth. Zamani then eliminated Lonis in third, again holding ten-nine, this time against ace-four.
Zamani began heads-up with a substantial chip lead, but Wilson doubled up twice to close the gap and eventually moved ahead.
In the final hand, Wilson held ace-king against Zamani's ace-three. Zamani was drawing dead by the turn, giving Wilson his fifth PGT victory of 2026.
Zamani collected $71,100 as runner-up. It was his first second-place finish in a live tournament and his first heads-up defeat in live tournament play.

PGT Championship Qualification Requirements
The season-ending PGT Championship is scheduled for January 11–12, 2027. The $500,000 freeroll will feature eligible players from the top 40 of the PGT leaderboard, along with select Dream Seat winners.
A top-40 ranking alone does not guarantee entry. Players qualifying through the leaderboard must record at least four cashes in PGT events during the season, including one in a PGT-owned-and-operated event.
They must also opt in to participate before the final series. If a player does not meet the requirements, the seat passes to the next eligible player.
