Side event competition filled the final day of the APT Jeju Classic 2026 as the festival drew to a close. Nine events produced champions, including a number of players earning their first APT titles and others extending strong records. The results mark the end of the Jeju stop and point ahead to the next festival in Taipei.
High Roller Last Chance
Japan’s Ryuta Nakai claimed his first APT title in Event 93, the High Roller Last Chance. He powered through a 94-entry field to win KRW 63,988,000 (approx. USD 44,904). Nakai brought more than USD 2.4 million in live earnings into the event.
Australia’s Yita Choong took second place for KRW 44,830,000 (approx. USD 31,459). Emad Zarghami of Australia finished third for KRW 29,600,000 (approx. USD 20,771). Thirteen players cashed in total.
Turbo Double Stack Super High Roller
Jun Obara of Japan added a fourth APT title to his name in Event 96, the Turbo Double Stack Super High Roller. The 17-entry field paid him KRW 52,088,000 (approx. USD 36,552) for the win. Obara entered the event with more than USD 8 million in career earnings.
Mingcong Chen of China placed second for KRW 34,730,000 (approx. USD 24,372). Hidenari Tomita of Japan took third for KRW 21,710,000 (approx. USD 15,235). Three players cashed.
Hyper Turbo High Roller
Weihong Liu of China secured her first APT title in Event 99, the Hyper Turbo High Roller. She topped a 72-entry field to earn KRW 27,192,000 (approx. USD 19,082) after recording four cashes during the series, including a National Cup final table. Liu defeated Thailand’s Punnat Punsri heads up. Punsri, the 2025 GPI Player of the Year, collected KRW 19,600,000 (approx. USD 13,754) for second place.
Wenwen Chen of China finished third for KRW 12,740,000 (approx. USD 8,933). Nine players cashed.
Ultra Stack
Maxim Sorokin of Russia turned his chip lead into his first APT title in Event 83, the Ultra Stack. Opening flights produced 313 entries and a KRW 262 million prize pool that surpassed the KRW 100 million guarantee. Sorokin earned the top prize of KRW 52,150,000 (approx. USD 36,596).
Makoto Yoshida of Japan finished second for KRW 33,120,000 (approx. USD 23,263), the largest score of his career. Chin Hei Chan of Hong Kong placed third for KRW 24,820,000 (approx. USD 17,410). Forty-four players cashed.
Micro Main Event
Yotaka Phutiya of Thailand won her third APT title in Event 92, the Micro Main Event. She topped a 135-entry field to claim KRW 11,946,944 (approx. USD 8,384). Phutiya already held two titles from women’s events.
Yuxiang Cai of China took second for KRW 8,120,000 (approx. USD 5,698). Yanji Ge of China finished third for KRW 5,360,000 (approx. USD 3,761). Twenty players cashed.
Pot-Limit Omaha High
Kaifan Wang of the United States earned his first APT title in Event 94, the Pot-Limit Omaha High. The 32-entry field paid him KRW 6,837,537 (approx. USD 4,798). Wang carried more than USD 600,000 in live earnings into the tournament.
Hao Chen of China placed second for KRW 4,713,000 (approx. USD 3,307). Xianming Zhai of China took third for KRW 3,003,000 (approx. USD 2,107). Five players cashed.
Turbo No-Limit Hold’em
Koichi Inoue of Japan captured his first APT title in Event 95, the Turbo No-Limit Hold’em. He navigated a 63-entry field to win KRW 7,531,008 (approx. USD 5,284) after recording one earlier cash in the series.
Ryota Seki of Japan finished second for KRW 5,420,000 (approx. USD 3,803). Ye Hu of China placed third for KRW 3,530,000 (approx. USD 2,477). Nine players cashed.
Turbo Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 5-Card
Dong Li of China took his third APT title in Event 97, the Turbo Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 5-Card event. He won KRW 8,245,705 (approx. USD 5,787) from a 42-entry field.
Yuri Murakami of Japan, the APT host, finished second for KRW 5,700,000 (approx. USD 4,000). Yik Hei Isaac Lo of Hong Kong placed third for KRW 3,640,000 (approx. USD 2,554). Six players cashed.
Hyper Turbo Double Stack
Zhongyao Li of China earned his first APT title in Event 98, the Hyper Turbo Double Stack. He topped a 32-entry field to win KRW 3,800,819 (approx. USD 2,667) after posting two cashes earlier in the festival.
Jing Feng Zhu of China took second for KRW 2,610,000 (approx. USD 1,831). Pak Hei Kevin Lau of Hong Kong finished third for KRW 1,660,000 (approx. USD 1,164). Five players cashed.
