The 2025 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Malta began on October 1 at Casino Malta in St. Julians. Juan Pardoof Spain won the €5,000 Mystery Bounty, and Roland Rokita of Austria won the €12,300 PokerStars Cuatro Knockout. The festival runs through October 12.

Juan Pardo Wins the €5,000 Mystery Bounty

Spanish pro Juan Pardo topped a 36-entry field to claim the title and €145,900. The event generated a €349,200 prize pool, with the top six players paid. Pardo defeated Austria’s Samuel Mullur heads-up; Mullur finished second for €50,600. Pardo’s payout comprised €87,500 in bounties and €58,400 from the regular prize pool. The result also moved Pardo closer on the EPT all-time money list: according to The Hendon Mob, he ranks tenth with $6,672,744$190,283 behind Jean-Noel Thorel in ninth.

The event had 17 entrants, with a combined €199,920 across the regular prize pool and bounty payments. Joris Ruijs (Netherlands) placed third for €30,400, leaving Rokita heads-up against Byron Kaverman (United States). Rokita secured the title; his total included €75,920 in prize money and €24,000 in bounties, while Kaverman received €69,600. The victory adds another title for the Austrian.
