Four Players Cut a Deal With $2M at Stake; Slovenian Grinder Closes It Out Heads-Up
Alexei Ivashchenko is the latest WSOP Circuit ring winner after beating 21,891 players in the $525 Mystery Millions on GGPoker. The Slovenian collected $502,709, capping off a run through a massive 21,891-entry field in the online tournament.
The entry count pushed the prize pool to $10,945,500, comfortably clearing the guarantee. The Mystery Millions was the fifth of 18 ring events in GGPoker’s $180 million guaranteed WSOP Super Circuit series, which kicked off March 1.
Four Players, $2M, One Deal
Ivashchenko was not the only one to cash big. When the tournament was down to its final four, he and his remaining opponents — Argentina’s Pablo Nazar, Malaysia’s “Wishwish,” and Cyprus’s Dimitrios Michailidis — agreed to pause play and negotiate a deal. The agreement locked in payouts ranging from $416,838 to $523,476, with bounty payments still to be settled separately.
Michailidis was the first to go after the deal was struck, finishing fourth for a $423,708 total. “Wishwish” busted third for $536,246. That left Nazar and Ivashchenko heads-up, and Nazar fell short. He took $537,428 as runner-up while Ivashchenko claimed the title and the gold ring alongside his $502,709 payday.
Bounty Payouts Grab Attention Deep in the Field
Day 2 sent 1,957 players back to their screens, and the mystery bounty element made a real impact long before the final table. The biggest individual bounty haul in the tournament lobby belonged to 52nd-place finisher “SBasin,” who collected $870,735 in bounty payments.
At the final table, ninth-place finisher “Nickroman99” of Slovenia received $81,596 in total, built from a $70,816 base prize and $10,780 in bounties. Croatia’s “Hyperturbo123” went out eighth for $107,741, and Thailand’s “Kuromi27” collected $128,002 for seventh.
Cyprus’s “ufuk kortan” finished sixth for $175,585. China’s “No1YT” exited in fifth for $230,264. Before the tournament, “No1YT” had made up to 11.8% of their action available through GGPoker’s built-in staking platform, but sold only 2%. The one backer who bought in, “khalnayak69,” paid for 1% and received $2,302.64.
