Flutter Entertainment Confirms Integration; Ontario Also Joins the Platform

PokerStars has officially confirmed it is moving to the FanDuel platform in New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, with Ontario, Canada, folding in as well. Players in all three U.S. states will need a FanDuel account to keep playing, under a brand that will be called "PokerStars exclusively on FanDuel." Flutter Entertainment, the parent company of both brands, made the announcement Tuesday.

The biggest structural change is Pennsylvania finally joining the shared player pool. BetMGM Poker and WSOP Online both moved into the state last April when Pennsylvania entered the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement, but PokerStars held back. This integration closes that gap, connecting all three states under one pool for the first time.

"This move merges player liquidity for bigger prize pools, larger guarantees, and more exciting competition in the United States," the company said in an online hub outlining the changes.

What Players Need to Know During the Transition

Flutter has not set a launch date for the switchover. PokerStars Rewards will keep accumulating through March 13. After that, players have 30 days to withdraw their funds. Anyone who misses that window will receive a check.

Once the transition is complete, the new platform will sit inside FanDuel's broader ecosystem, giving players access to online casino games and sports betting alongside poker. FanDuel already operates in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan, West Virginia, and Connecticut, and it is that existing user base that makes the deal attractive for growing the poker product.

Room to Grow

West Virginia is the most obvious candidate for a future addition to the shared pool, given FanDuel's existing presence there. Connecticut has not yet joined MSIGA, though the state took steps in that direction last year.

PokerStars now joins BetMGM Poker, WSOP Online, and BetRivers Poker as operators competing within the U.S. multi-state framework. BetRivers runs a shared pool connecting Pennsylvania, Michigan, Delaware, and West Virginia.

CoinPoker Posts Near 12,000 Users on New Client Launch Day

The PokerStars news lands during a busy week for the industry. CoinPoker rolled out an updated client and is offering 100% rakeback to all players for the entire month of March to drive traffic. The promotion hit the ground running, with operators reporting close to 12,000 users on launch day. Active players on the new client have since topped 7,000.
