A Confident Step Forward at Genting Stratford
The Hendon Mob Championship will return to London this December as Genting Casino Stratford once again hosts the final stop of the series. After its debut last year, the festival is coming back with five trophy events and guarantees that now exceed the £200,000 mark.
Its partnership with the Unibet Deepstack Open also continues. Online qualifiers on Unibet are already underway, offering packages that include entries to both the Main Event and the Opener Deepstack along with spending money.
Building on Momentum from Year One
GPI and THM Head of Partnerships Roland Boothby commented on the event’s return. “We’re thrilled that THMC London will return for a second year under the new casino ownership in Stratford,” he said. He noted the aim of shaping the stop into The Hendon Mob’s flagship London event while preserving the original Mobster’s legacy within the grassroots London poker community.
Boothby also acknowledged the venue’s commitment to poker. “Genting Stratford have hit the ground running with an ambitious poker schedule, and we’re delighted they’ve shown the confidence in us to remain a part of it.”
Guarantees Take a Noticeable Jump
The two headline tournaments will receive significant boosts this year. The Opener Deepstack now carries a £30,000 guarantee after previously offering £25,000. The Main Event increases from £100,000 to £150,000.
The Opener maintains its two day structure and extended late registration, allowing players to enter up to the start of the second level on Day 2.
A Cape Town Experience for the Main Event Winner
A new feature for 2025 is the addition of a Cape Town poker package for the Main Event champion. Alongside the payout, the winner will also earn a poker experience in one of the most scenic destinations in the world.
