Daniel Negreanu’s return to his native Canada for the 2025 WSOP Online Bracelet Series has been filled with setbacks. Despite a strong showing in Las Vegas earlier this summer, the seven-time bracelet winner has failed to register a single cash online, and his livestreams have captured his mounting frustration.
From Live Success to Online Struggles
Negreanu’s summer in Las Vegas was among his best in years. He cashed 15 times, reached five official final tables, and built momentum heading into the online series.
However, since relocating to Vancouver to play on GGPoker, he has yet to secure a payout. Fans following his six-hour daily livestreams have witnessed a string of misfortunes, a stark contrast to his live performance.
High Roller Meltdown
On Monday, Negreanu entered the $10,300 GGMillion$ High Roller. The field was stacked, including Bryn Kenney and David Peters, but Negreanu built one of the larger stacks early.
The momentum didn’t last. His pocket jacks lost to a smaller pair that spiked a set, forcing him to rebuy with just 17 big blinds. He quickly doubled with ace-jack against pocket kings, celebrating sarcastically as one of the rare pots went his way.

Moments later, he went all in with K♠9♠ against Ole Schemion’s 6♠6♣ and lost another crucial flip. His frustration boiled over:
“Can I win this one? Mother f****r. It’s f*****g crazy. Can I ever beat a small f*****g pair?”
“Get the fk outta here! Suck f*****g crazy.”
He rebought again, but his luck continued to sour. He busted well before the money after his middle pair fell to top pair, ending another painful run.
Heads-Up Championship Exit
Negreanu’s best chance so far came in the $10,000 Heads-Up Championship. He won his opening two matches but fell in the Round of 32 against Tzur Levy.
The key hand saw Negreanu raise with 7♠7♦, only to face an all-in shove from Levy holding A♥5♠. Negreanu called for 20 big blinds and was ahead until the river brought the A♠, knocking him out just one win short of the money.
Series Still Ongoing
The GGPoker WSOP Online Bracelet Series began on August 17 and runs until September 29. Negreanu still has several chances to turn things around, including the $25,000 GGMillion$ Super High Roller Championship scheduled for Tuesday.
While the variance has not been in his favor, “Kid Poker” remains determined to battle for another bracelet—or at least a long-awaited cash.
