The poker world witnessed a historic milestone in the Bahamas on Monday. The 2025 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event has officially concluded its registration period and the final numbers have far exceeded expectations. Organizers confirmed a final prize pool of $72,275,000 which sets a massive new benchmark for the industry.
Shattering the $60 Million Guarantee
Registration for the $25,000 buy-in tournament closed at approximately 4:15 PM local time on December 15. The event attracted a massive field of 2,891 entrants over the course of six opening days.
This turnout did not just meet the ambitious $60,000,000 guarantee but surpassed it significantly. This total now stands as the largest prize pool in poker history for any event outside of the traditional WSOP Main Event. While the specific payout for the winner remains to be announced, the event has secured its legacy as one of the most significant tournaments ever hosted by the WSOP.
The Field Narrows as Day 2 Continues
More than 2,000 players initially took their seats but the field has been trimmed down considerably. As of the latest update, 528 players remain in contention for the title.
Action is currently underway in Day 2B where players are looking to survive and build their stacks. The final payouts will be publicized once the official numbers are finalized and play progresses further.
