Myles Mullaly won the opening event of the 2026 Poker Masters presented by Global Poker, earning $218,400 and his first career PokerGO Tour (PGT) title.
He defeated Justin Zaki heads-up in Event #1, a $10,500 No-Limit Hold'em tournament that drew 78 entries and generated a $780,000 prize pool. The top 12 finishers earned payouts.
Mullaly also collected 218 PGT points, taking the early lead in the race for the Poker Masters Purple Jacket.
A River Ten Decides the Heads-Up
Mullaly started heads-up play with approximately twice Zaki's stack. Zaki briefly moved ahead after making a straight against Mullaly's pair of nines, but Mullaly regained the chip lead before the final hand.
Mullaly limped the button with T♥9♥, and Zaki checked with J♥3♥. The flop came 8-5-3 with one heart. Zaki checked with a pair of threes and called Mullaly's 400,000 bet.
The 7♥ turn gave both players flush draws, while Mullaly also had an open-ended straight draw.
After Zaki checked, Mullaly bet 1,200,000 into a pot of 1,400,000. Zaki moved all-in for 3,425,000 total, and Mullaly called.
Zaki held the higher flush draw and was a 70% favorite to double up. A ten on the river instead gave Mullaly a pair of tens and the winning hand.
Zaki finished second for $140,400.
Mullaly Doubles Through Rossitto on Final Day
Mullaly entered the second and final day second in chips behind Michael Rossitto, with six players remaining.
Justin Vaysman was the first to exit, finishing sixth for $39,000. With five players left, Mullaly doubled through Rossitto after his A-T outflopped Rossitto's A-J.
Sam Laskowitz then eliminated Daniyal Gheba in fifth place and Rossitto in fourth. Mullaly held the chip lead when the field reached three players.
Laskowitz was next to go. He called Zaki's small-blind shove with A-K, facing Q-7. A seven on the flop put Zaki ahead, and the hand held to eliminate Laskowitz in third place for $101,400.
It was Laskowitz's second payout of more than $100,000 at the PokerGO Studio within a week. He had recently won a Super High Roller Series event for $270,000.
Earlier in the tournament, the money bubble burst when Craig Mason's pocket nines beat Adrian Mateos' pocket aces, leaving 12 players in the money.
