After years of near misses, Isaac “Ike” Haxton finally claimed his first Triton Poker trophy. On Sunday at the Triton Super High Roller Series Jeju II, the American high-stakes pro triumphed in the $100,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Main Event. Haxton defeated Argentina’s Nacho Barbero heads-up, capturing the title, $2,789,000 in prize money, and ending one of the longest-running storylines in Triton history.
A Record Finally Broken After 34 Final Tables
Since debuting on the Triton circuit in 2016 at the Super High Roller Series Manila, Haxton had recorded 64 cashes and 34 final table appearances without ever lifting the trophy. The drought ended in Jeju as Haxton overcame Barbero in their second consecutive heads-up duel.
Haxton, who has now amassed around $19.5 million in total earnings, spoke to Triton commentator Ali Nejad after the victory. “It feels pretty good, yeah. This is the outcome I was hoping for,” he said. He later added, “There’s a lot of noise in poker. I’ve won in other places, obviously. I’ve made a lot of final tables, it was bound to work out eventually.”
This was not the first time Haxton shook off a long-standing label. For years, he was considered one of the best without a WSOP bracelet, until he won the $25,000 High Roller in 2023. With both a WSOP title and now a Triton victory, Haxton joins one of poker’s most exclusive groups.

The Championship Hand
In the decisive hand, Barbero opened to 600,000 with A♠Q♣J♥2♣ from his 2.3 million stack. Haxton, deep with 26 million and holding 6♠7♣8♦10♦, called.
The flop brought 7♦9♦4♠, giving Haxton middle pair, a straight draw, and flush possibilities. Both players checked. The turn came A♥, improving Barbero to top pair. Haxton led for 1.4 million into 1.7 million, and Barbero shoved. Haxton snap-called.
The river 6♥ completed Haxton’s ten-high straight, sealing the victory. Barbero, left with top pair, congratulated his opponent before exiting in second place with $1,897,000.
Haxton’s Landmark Run in Jeju
Haxton’s triumph capped a remarkable Jeju run, where he recorded ten cashes at Landing Casino across the festival. The long-awaited Triton title cements his place among the all-time greats on the high roller circuit.
For Barbero, the finish marked back-to-back deep runs, underlining his own consistent form despite missing out on the title.
