Hoang Caps Off Incredible Week With Redemption Victory

After nine days of poker at Resorts World Birmingham, the PartyPoker Tour stop came to an exciting close on October 19.

The fourth leg of the 2025 season attracted 1,673 total entries across 19 events, generating more than £336,020 in prize pools.

The £500 Main Event drew 343 entries, easily surpassing its £100,000 guarantee with a £152,635 prize pool.

When the dust settled, it was Thailand’s Tai Hoang who captured the trophy and the top prize of £27,420, completing a story of redemption that defined his run in Birmingham.

Redemption After a Near Miss

Hoang’s road to victory was built on determination. Just days earlier, he finished runner-up to Robert Douras in the £150 Mini Main Event, earning £9,080.

Both Hoang and Douras went deep again in the Main Event, proving their consistency. Douras finished fourth for £10,435, capping a strong festival where he collected nearly £25,000 overall.

How the Final Table Played Out

The Main Event final table featured several familiar UK names. Jiten Chauhan entered the finale as one of the short stacks but battled back to secure a career-best £18,320.

Heads-up play between Hoang and Chauhan began nearly even in chips. A key straight gave Hoang the momentum he needed to take control, and he never looked back—clinching his first PartyPoker Tour Main Event title.
