A Final Table Disrupted by Real-Time Assistance
The GGMillion$ final table on October 14, 2025 became the subject of an integrity investigation after GGPoker confirmed that player RealOA sought unauthorized real-time strategic advice during active play. Among the individuals he contacted was professional player Ren “Tony” Lin, who acknowledged that he responded to the requests and provided coaching while the tournament was ongoing.
According to GGPoker’s official statement, RealOA intentionally reached out to multiple people in an effort to gain an unfair advantage. The act of seeking guidance during live hands is strictly prohibited, and the investigation concluded that both RealOA and Lin played roles in the violation.
Tony Lin’s Statement and Resulting Disqualification
Following the incident, Ren “Tony” Lin was disqualified from the WSOP Super Circuit Cyprus Main Event. He later issued a public statement acknowledging his mistake and taking responsibility for his involvement. GGPoker confirmed that Lin has been indefinitely suspended across GGPoker, WSOP, and all partner platforms.
Consequences and Restitution
GGPoker permanently banned RealOA from GGPoker, WSOP, and all affiliated platforms. The operator recovered 250,523 dollars from RealOA’s account. Because the amount did not fully cover the total required restitution, Lin personally contributed 96,380 dollars to complete the balance. GGPoker emphasized that Lin’s contribution came entirely from personal funds and was unrelated to any staking or compensation connected to the final table.
In total, 346,903 dollars were redistributed to affected players under GGPoker’s refund policy.
GGPoker’s Integrity Principles
In its announcement, GGPoker highlighted three principles underscored by the case. Violations can be detected through monitoring and hand analysis, consequences apply across the entire GGPoker and WSOP network, and players will be protected through full financial remediation when integrity is compromised.
The operator acknowledged that real-time assistance through private communication channels remains challenging to eliminate completely, but emphasized that detection and investigation capabilities will continue to improve. GGPoker concluded by reaffirming that competitive poker relies on trust and equal conditions, and that safeguarding those foundations remains a priority.
