Japan’s Toru Sakiyama delivered the biggest headline from Day 9 of APT Incheon 2026, winning Event #80: Mini Main Event for KRW 189,982,000 (~USD 134,739) and a seat to the APT Championship 2026 Main Event in November.
The Mini Main Event exceeded its KRW 400 million guarantee, with 199 players reaching the money. The victory also gave Sakiyama his first APT title.
Sakiyama Records Breakthrough Victory
Before the tournament, Sakiyama’s career-best recorded live cash stood at USD 3,099, while his total recorded live earnings were USD 8,063.
His first-place payout in Incheon was more than 43 times his previous best recorded result and more than 16 times his prior recorded live earnings.
Shingo Matsushima collected KRW 108,770,000 (~USD 77,142) as runner-up. He entered the event with no recorded live tournament cashes.
Andrew Geonwoong Choi took third for KRW 76,600,000 (~USD 54,326). Choi had one previous recorded live cash worth USD 2,939 before the Mini Main Event.
Nakayama Takes Ultra Stack Lead Into Final Day
Event #90: Ultra Stack generated 588 entries across three starting flights and a KRW 339 million prize pool.
Each flight played down to the top 14% of its field, with players reaching the money at the same point. A total of 84 survivors advanced to the Final Day, where every returning player is guaranteed at least KRW 1,060,000 (~USD 752).
The champion is set to receive KRW 65,639,878 (~USD 46,553).
Takumi Nakayama leads the remaining field with 2,700,000 chips. Flight A leader Shoma Ishikawa advanced with 2,600,000, while Kyohei Tobita topped Flight C with 1,872,000.
Hua Wei Lin bagged 2,535,000 in Flight A, followed by Kevin Chong Moon with 2,505,000. Masaki Yoshitane and Po Hao Liao advanced from Flight B with 1,908,000 and 1,755,000 respectively, while Jie Zheng and Ken Matsubara finished behind Tobita in Flight C with 1,444,000 and 1,208,000.
Nakanishi and Suriyakarn Add APT Titles
Shota Nakanishi captured his first APT title in the 28-entry Event #91: PL Omaha High – Heads Up, earning KRW 7,792,358 (~USD 5,526).
Daichi Kurashima collected KRW 5,200,000 (USD 3,688) for second place, while Daiki Aoki earned KRW 2,800,000 (USD 1,986) for third. Four players were paid.
Sorawit Suriyakarn secured the fifth APT title of his career in Event #93: Masters Mix Game – 9-Game. He topped the 33-entry field for KRW 15,818,000 (~USD 11,218).
Mikhail Fedotov took second for KRW 10,910,000 (USD 7,738), with Paul Nattapatsiri finishing third for KRW 6,950,000 (USD 4,929).
Maeda, Chumkham and So Join the Winners
Yuji Maeda set a new career-best live tournament score by winning Event #94: NL – Hold'em – Freezeout.
Maeda topped a 171-entry field for KRW 54,970,400 (USD 38,986) and his first APT title. Kenta Takahara collected KRW 37,230,000 (USD 26,404) as runner-up, while Keisuke Taniguchi earned KRW 24,820,000 (~USD 17,603) for third. A total of 23 players were paid.
Patthanant Chumkham also earned her first APT title, winning Event #95: Women's Event for KRW 5,411,574 (~USD 3,838). The result was her first recorded live tournament cash.
Yue Sun placed second for KRW 3,850,000 (USD 2,730), followed by Tamura Chizuru in third for KRW 2,520,000 (USD 1,787). Eleven players reached the money.
Siu Nam So joined the list of first-time APT winners by taking down Event #96: Fixed Limit – Dealer's Choice – Triple Draw. He topped the 49-entry field for KRW 7,635,705 (~USD 5,415).
Kazuhiro Shirasawa collected KRW 5,520,000 (USD 3,915) for second, while Daisuke Someya finished third for KRW 3,520,000 (USD 2,496).
Zhang and Leung Claim Second APT Titles
Lan Te Zhang won Event #97: Turbo – NL – Omaha Hi-Lo – Stairway to Seven, beating a 33-entry field for KRW 3,910,844 (~USD 2,774).
The victory was Zhang’s second APT title. Li Ta Hsu earned KRW 2,690,000 (USD 1,908) for second place, while Daniil Shalaev took third for KRW 1,720,000 (USD 1,220).
Siu Ki Leung also earned his second APT title on Day 9. He won Event #98: Hyper Turbo Home Games – NL – Hold'em – Bomb Pot – Double Board for KRW 3,390,985 (~USD 2,405).
Shintaro Matsumoto finished runner-up for KRW 2,410,000 (USD 1,709), with Mapitiyage Chanushika Lakshendri Peiris third for KRW 1,580,000 (USD 1,121). Eleven players were paid.
Liu Wins Third Title of APT Incheon 2026
Qing Liu added another trophy in Event #99: Hyper Turbo – NL – Dealer's Choice 7 Card Stud, topping a 25-entry field for KRW 3,360,640 (~USD 2,383).
It was Liu’s third APT title of the festival.
Qibang Cheung finished second for KRW 2,240,000 (~USD 1,589), his fourth runner-up finish of APT Incheon 2026 after also taking second in Events #12, #23 and #40.
Martijn Johannes Gerrits completed the top three for KRW 1,440,000 (~USD 1,021).
Mochimaru Wins Event #100
Yasutaka Mochimaru won the 157-entry Event #100: Super Hyper Turbo – NLH for his first APT title.
The Japanese player earned KRW 10,223,516 (USD 7,251), while Yifeng Dong collected KRW 6,920,000 (USD 4,908) as runner-up. Mai Omori finished third for KRW 4,620,000 (~USD 3,277).
