Ben Tollerene claimed his fifth Triton Poker Super High Roller Series title and $652,000 after defeating Daniel Rezaei heads-up in Event #13, the $50K NLH Turbo Bounty Quattro in Jeju.
The 39-year-old American received $412,000 from the tournament payout and another $240,000 from four $60,000 bounties. The event attracted 35 entries, including seven re-entries, for a $1.75 million prize pool.
Tollerene's win followed a third-place finish one night earlier in another $50K event, where Nick Schulman and Matthew Wantman finished ahead of him.
Rezaei Takes the Lead Into the Money
Rezaei controlled the largest stack for much of the later stages and entered the final six with 2.77 million chips. Tollerene was second with 1.485 million.
Only six places were paid, while nine $60,000 bounties came into play once the tournament reached its nine-player final table.
Stephen Chidwick was the first player eliminated after the bounties were introduced. Holding K4 on a 4-6-4 flop, Chidwick was ahead of Rezaei's pocket tens before a ten on the river gave Rezaei the winning hand and his first bounty.
The money bubble ended with Emilien Pitavy's elimination. Pitavy moved all-in with A8 in a three-way pot against Mike Watson's KJ and Rezaei's 76. Watson made a flush, while Rezaei paired his six to eliminate Pitavy and reduce the field to six.
Tollerene Cuts Down the Field
Watson began the final six with 16 big blinds but soon dropped to three after Ding Biao's 79 made a rivered straight against his pocket queens.
Watson then committed his remaining chips in a three-way all-in with pocket fours. Tom Fuchs held K5 and Tollerene had A8. An ace on the flop put Tollerene in front and eliminated both opponents.
Watson finished sixth for $84,000. Fuchs took fifth for $109,000 and collected one $60,000 bounty.
Eelis Parssinen was next out. After a Q-J-2 flop, he moved all-in with Q6 and was called by Ding's Q9. Both players held top pair, but Ding's stronger kicker held, leaving Parssinen in fourth place for $139,000.
Rezaei entered three-handed play with 50 big blinds, Ding had 46 and Tollerene 43.
Rezaei later reduced Tollerene to 11 big blinds, but Tollerene doubled with A2 against Rezaei's 36. Ding was then eliminated when his K5 lost to Rezaei's 810 after Rezaei completed a straight.
Ding finished third for $181,000 and added one $60,000 bounty.
Tollerene Rallies From 21 Big Blinds Heads-Up
Rezaei began heads-up with 67 big blinds against Tollerene's 21 and had already collected three bounties.
Tollerene won value with 89 after pairing his nine, then took another pot after rivering a queen with Q3. Rezaei responded by winning several smaller pots to move back ahead, but Tollerene doubled again when his 65 paired a five against Rezaei's Q6.
That double gave Tollerene a 32-to-24 big blind lead. The next hand was the last.
Tollerene held AK against Rezaei's A5, with all the chips going in pre-flop. The J-6-9-3-8 board kept Tollerene's ace-king ahead and ended the tournament.
Tollerene finished with four $60,000 bounty tokens worth $240,000, taking his total payout to $652,000. Rezaei earned $465,000 as runner-up, including $180,000 from three bounties.
The victory was Tollerene's fifth Triton title.
