The Spanish poker circuit is gearing up for its next big chapter as the CNP heads to Alicante from September 8–14, 2025. After record-breaking stops earlier this year in Sevilla, Barcelona, and Murcia, all eyes now turn to Casino Mediterráneo, where organizers believe the festival could become the most attended event in the venue’s history.

Preparing for a Packed House
To handle the surge of players expected on the Valencian coast, the venue has expanded its setup across three different areas. The main poker room will remain the hub of the action, while a large tent overlooking the marina will add up to 15 more tables. The exhibition hall, located at the entrance, will feature the televised stage, cash games, and the final tables that will close out the week.
Tournament director Jaime Sánchez confirmed that the festival will maintain the same capacity as other major stops: “We’ll have 45 tables available, distributed across three spaces, which gives us the same flexibility we had in Seville and Barcelona.”
A Week of Marquee Events
The schedule offers something for every type of player. Action kicks off with the €150 Opening Event, followed by a diverse mix of tournaments including the €1,100 High Roller, the €185 El Cazador bounty, and a €150 Pot-Limit Omaha event. The €550 Main Event, however, is the clear centerpiece, featuring four starting flights—one of them a turbo option—and a deep 50,000-chip structure with 45-minute levels.
The Main Event will be streamed live from Day 2 onwards, ensuring that fans can follow the drama as it unfolds. Side events such as El Mini (€250) and the Crazy Pineapple closer (€125) round out the festival, adding more variety to the packed week.
Leaderboard Battle Intensifies
Beyond trophies and payouts, Alicante also carries major weight in the CNP 2025 rankings. With the Grand Final in Madrid still ahead, the chase for the coveted Team CNP 2026 sponsorship remains wide open, giving players extra motivation to make a deep run.
Satellites Bring Fresh Faces
One of the biggest factors behind the circuit’s growing numbers has been its robust satellite program. Affordable qualifiers have already propelled several players into big finishes this year, including a runner-up in Murcia who started his journey with just a low-cost entry.
In August, online satellites doubled their guarantees, offering at least 22 seats per week with buy-ins starting from only €2. That accessibility is expected to bring an even wider mix of players to Alicante, many of whom will be taking their shot at a major title for the first time.
