GGPoker, a leading online poker platform, has introduced a program allowing previously banned players to apply for reinstatement. This move provides an opportunity for those who believe they can adhere to the site’s rules moving forward. The initiative stands out in the industry, where permanent bans are typically final.
Program Overview and Application Process
The Olive Branch Initiative targets individuals banned from any GGPoker Network site, offering a pathway for review and potential return. It also includes a secondary assessment for players who consider their bans unjust. In its announcement, GGPoker emphasized, “The Olive Branch Program reflects our belief that redemption is possible when genuine change occurs. We understand circumstances can be complex, and sometimes, players deserve the opportunity to demonstrate their growth.”
To apply, banned players must send an email to olivebranch@ggpoker.com using the address linked to their banned account. The subject line should read “Olive Branch Application.” Submissions need to include the player’s full name, GGPoker Network account nickname, a thorough explanation for seeking reinstatement, and a selfie holding identification that verifies identity and address.
Key Deadlines and Considerations
Applications are accepted only until October 1, 2025. GGPoker will evaluate each case individually, with no assurance of approval. Applicants will receive notification of the decision by November 1, 2025.
The platform, endorsed by prominent figures like Daniel Negreanu and Fedor Holz, reiterated its dedication to integrity. “The Olive Branch Program doesn’t change GGPoker’s fundamental commitment to maintaining the highest standards of fair play and security. We’ll continue enforcing our Security and Ecology Policy with the same rigor that makes GGPoker trusted worldwide,” the statement noted.
Bans on online poker sites often stem from violations such as multi-accounting, VPN usage, or collusion. It remains uncertain how many players will regain access, particularly those penalized for severe infractions.
