Gods of Poker Manila 2026 has wrapped up after ten tournament days at City of Dreams Manila, with 1,976 entries and PHP100,678,400 in overall prize pools across the festival.
Martijn Gerrits finished the series at the top of the Player of the Series standings, winning the title for the third time. The Dutch mixed-game player has now taken the award at all three Gods of Poker stops he has attended. Dakota Anderson won the festival’s PHP82,500 Main Event and collected a career-best PHP6,304,500.
The fifth edition of Gods of Poker featured 82 tournaments and was held in cooperation with Soul Poker Club.
Martijn Gerrits Wins a Third Player of the Series Title
Gerrits had already secured the Player of the Series title before the final events were completed.
He finished the Manila stop with 13 cashes, seven wins and 24,595 leaderboard points. No other player recorded more than seven cashes during the series.
The Manila result gives Gerrits three Player of the Series titles from the three Gods of Poker festivals he has played. He did not compete at the other two GOP stops.
Alvir Inocentes finished second in the standings with six cashes, two wins and 20,313 points. Edilberto Gopez took third with five cashes, two wins and 17,240 points.
The remaining podium positions were still being decided late in the festival. Inocentes added points with a seventh-place finish in the Kraken Stack before winning the Titan Stack Turbo for his second title of the series. Gopez moved into third place after finishing runner-up in The Closer Mystery Bounty.
Dakota Anderson Wins the PHP30 Million Guaranteed Main Event
The PHP82,500 Main Event attracted 383 entries, 17 short of the 400 needed to cover its PHP30 million guarantee. A total of 54 players finished in the money.
Lester Edoc and Marc Rivera started the final day first and second in the standings, but Dakota Anderson and Joris Michl eventually reached heads-up play.
Michl took a commanding lead into heads-up with more than 80% of the chips in play. Anderson moved ahead after winning their first major all-in and finished the tournament a few hands later.
Anderson earned PHP6,304,500 for the victory, the largest live poker cash of his career to date. Michl received PHP3,840,600 for second place.
Edoc finished fourth for PHP1,886,100. On the final day of the festival, he returned to win the PHP220,000 GOP High Roller for PHP2,400,000.
Lester Edoc Wins His Second GOP Gauntlet
The High Roller victory gave Edoc his second Gods of Poker gauntlet. Marc Rivera is the only other player identified in the series as having won two.
Gary Thompson finished runner-up to Edoc. Fendy Kosasih placed fourth for PHP685,700, while Ryan Hong and David Wang were also among the players who cashed.
Kosasih had already won the PHP682,500 Demigods Challenge, defeating Harry Halim heads-up for PHP4,728,700. Halim collected PHP2,837,300 for second place.
Emmanuel Derecho won the PHP428,000 Super High Roller. The event drew 21 entries and generated a PHP8,148,000 prize pool, with Derecho taking PHP3,564,700 for first place.
Tom Verbruggen earned his first Gods of Poker gauntlet in the PHP275,000 Titan Stack High Roller. The tournament paid PHP6,960,000 across its top five finishers.
Inocentes and Gopez Finish on the Player of the Series Podium
Both players behind Gerrits in the Player of the Series standings won multiple events in Manila.
Inocentes won the PHP33,000 Pandora’s Mystery Bounty, taking home PHP1,013,100 from a field of 116 entries. Runner-up Lukasz Jankowski received PHP456,500, while Takamasa Kojima collected PHP696,000 in total after securing one of the event’s top bounties.
Inocentes later added the Titan Stack Turbo title to finish the series with two wins.
Gopez won the PHP3.5 million guaranteed Mini Main Event, defeating Aj Acdal heads-up to collect PHP1,006,600 from a 128-entry field.
Gary Thompson also won the PHP38,500 Titan Stack for PHP1,037,700 after beating Acdal heads-up. Inocentes finished third for PHP442,300.
Gods of Poker Heads to Taipei in September
The next Gods of Poker festival is scheduled for Taipei from September 18 to 28, 2026.
GOP Taipei 2026 II will be held at Asia Poker Area in partnership with the Chinese Texas Hold'em Poker Association, also known as CTP Club.
The series is scheduled to feature 77 tournaments and NT$25,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools. Its Main Event will offer five starting flights beginning September 22, with entry set at NT$33,000, approximately USD1,050.
The Taipei stop follows less than three weeks after the conclusion of Gods of Poker Manila 2026.
