Dates, Venue, and Overview
The RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) Grand Prix touches down in Pennsylvania from September 16–21 at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Grantville, PA. The six-day, 10-ring-event festival centers around an $800 Main Event with a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National features an 11-table card room inside one of the state’s best-known racing venues, home to the Penn Mile and Penn Oaks. For one week in September, the spotlight shifts to tournament poker.
Series Highlights
- Opening Day (Sept. 16) serves up three ring events, headlined by Day 1a of the $400 Deepstack NLH Ring Event with a $25,000 guarantee. The day also includes the $200 Seniors Ring Event (50+) and the $200 Series Opener.
- Deepstack Day 1b runs Sept. 17, with survivors from both flights returning Sept. 18 at 5 p.m. to play to a winner.
- Two bounty trophies are on the schedule: the $250 Double Green Chip Bounty (Sept. 18, 6 p.m.) and the $300 Black Chip Bounty (Sept. 21, 1 p.m.).
- A single non-hold’em event appears on the slate: the $300 Pot-Limit Omaha Ring Event on Sept. 19 at noon.
Main Event Details
The $800 RGPS Grand Prix Main Event carries a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool and three Day 1 flights:
- Day 1a: Thursday, Sept. 19, 5 p.m.
- Day 1b: Friday, Sept. 20, 12 p.m.
- Day 1c: Friday, Sept. 20, 5 p.m. Day 2 plays to a champion on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 12 p.m.
Players start with 30,000 chips. Levels are 30 minutes until registration closes after Level 8, then extend to 40 minutes for the remainder of the tournament.
