The World Series of Poker Circuit will make its way back to Council Bluffs, Iowa, this fall with a packed schedule of 18 gold ring events. Hosted once again at Horseshoe Council Bluffs, the series runs from September 4 to September 15 and features buy-ins ranging from $400 to $1,700.
Situated along the Missouri River just across from Omaha, Nebraska, the venue has long been a popular stop on the circuit. This year’s festival offers players a wide variety of formats, including multiple multi-flight tournaments, two seniors events, and several Omaha variants.
Key Highlights
The action begins on September 4 with a doubleheader: the $400 Double Stack at 11 a.m. followed by a $400 No-Limit Hold’em Black Chip Bounty at 4 p.m. The very next day, the $400 Mini Main Event kicks off with three starting flights scheduled between September 5 and 6.
For Omaha fans, two events stand out on the schedule: a $400 Pot-Limit Omaha on September 8 and a $400 PLO 8 or Better the following day. Seniors will have their chance at the spotlight with two dedicated $400 tournaments on September 8 and September 14.
The mid-stakes highlight arrives on September 11 with the $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em. All eyes, however, will be on the $1,700 Main Event, which begins September 12 with two opening flights across September 12 and 13. Last year, Scott Allacher captured this title for $83,865, defeating a field of 259 players to claim the ring.
The festival will close on September 15 with the $400 No-Limit Hold’em Closer, wrapping up nearly two weeks of action in the Hawkeye State.
