Big Wins Mark Opening Weekend on PokerStars
The 2025 EPT Season Online burst into action on PokerStars over the weekend of October 12–13, and the series already delivered some huge results. Leading the charge was Brazil’s “161445”, who turned a $109 buy-in into an impressive $60,751 payday by capturing the Sunday Million Mystery Bounty title.
The opening-weekend edition of the Sunday Million drew a massive 9,759 entries, building a $1 million prize pool. The event’s mystery bounty format kept things unpredictable, with massive jackpots hidden in virtual envelopes throughout Day 1.
Brazil’s “mbalchak” and Austria’s “13MagicMan13” each pulled $50,000 envelopes, but the biggest bounty of all went to “Thiryyyy”, who landed the $100,000 jackpot despite finishing in 629th place. That single prize gave “Thiryyyy” a total payday of $101,437.
South American Strength on Display
The final table had a distinctly South American flair, featuring three Brazilians and two Argentinians, joined by four European challengers. Once “caiosultanum”, “all-isteach”, and “CHAKNORRIS777” exited early, the remaining contenders were all locked in for five-figure paydays.
Brazil’s “jagger97” claimed $11,811 for sixth place, while “metodAF” from Germany earned $15,805 in fifth. Argentina’s “2424emiliano” finished fourth for $21,960, and Lithuania’s “Wazmis” took third for $32,091, setting up a heads-up duel between Brazil’s “161445” and Argentina’s “K04a777”.
