The World Poker Tour® (WPT®) will open Season 25 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where WPT Cambodia is scheduled to run from Jan. 12 to Feb. 2, 2027, at NagaWorld Integrated Resort.
The festival will include two championship events. The WPT Prime Cambodia Championship will run from Jan. 22-26, followed by the WPT Cambodia Championship from Jan. 27 to Feb. 1.
WPT Prime Cambodia Championship Carries $500,000 Guarantee
The WPT Prime Cambodia Championship has a $1,100 buy-in and a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.
The WPT Cambodia Championship has a $3,500 buy-in and a $1 million guaranteed prize pool.
The winner of the WPT Cambodia Championship will become the first WPT Champion of Season 25 to have their name added to the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.
WPT Opens Season 25 in Cambodia
WPT CEO Adam Pliska said Cambodia will host the opening festival of Season 25, with both WPT Prime and WPT Championship events on the schedule.
Pliska described Season 25 as an important milestone for the World Poker Tour and said WPT looks forward to beginning the season in Cambodia alongside NagaWorld.
NagaWorld Integrated Resort is located in Phnom Penh and offers accommodations, dining, entertainment, and gaming.
Xiaosheng Zheng Won an Earlier WPT Cambodia Event
At an earlier WPT Cambodia event, Xiaosheng Zheng finished first in a field of 425 entries.
Zheng earned $244,500 for the win and secured his first WPT title.
