WSOP Removes “NO LIMIT” Documentary After AI Fabrications Surface

A Sudden Pullback From the Spotlight

“NO LIMIT” followed several prominent players during the 2024 WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas. The project was put on hold this week after creator Dustin Ianotti admitted that parts of the dialogue in the series had been generated with artificial intelligence. The World Series of Poker took down the first six episodes from its YouTube channel on Sunday and followed with a public apology on X.

WSOP Responds After Learning of Altered Quotes

In its statement, WSOP said it recently discovered that AI had been used in ways that changed players’ words without permission. The organization explained that the videos would be re-edited to meet its standards and thanked viewers for their understanding.

The series had drawn mixed reactions since its release a few weeks earlier. Even with Daniel Negreanu and Phil Hellmuth featured prominently, each episode settled at around forty thousand views, which fell well short of the buzz surrounding it.

Keating’s Accusation Triggers the Backlash

The situation escalated on Saturday when Alan Keating, one of the documentary’s central figures, publicly accused Ianotti of creating quotes he never said. Ianotti acknowledged the mistake soon after and confirmed that AI had been used.

His admission spread quickly through the poker community. Well known players voiced their frustration, and conservative podcaster Tim Pool shared a report on the scandal, further amplifying the criticism.

Reactions From Players Featured in the Series

Jennifer Tilly, who appears in the documentary, expressed clear discomfort. “I can’t imagine what it would be like for somebody to use my voice to put words in my mouth in a ‘documentary’,” she wrote. She added that the situation was “so egregious on so many levels.” The article’s description also notes that she rarely engages in controversy on social media.

The response continued to build. Adam Hendrix, who finished sixth in the 2026 WSOP Main Event, described the incident as “terrifying.” Daniel Strelitz commented that taking quotes out of context was already problematic, and that fully fabricating them was “obscene.”

WSOP Plans a Full Re Edit

With the next WSOP Paradise series approaching, WSOP plans to remove all AI generated quotes from the episodes already produced. The first six installments and those still to come will be re published once the edits are complete. The timeline for the updated release remains uncertain.
