Adrian Mateos has won the 2026 Poker Masters Purple Jacket after finishing the 10-event series with 451 PGT points. He cashed three times, including a victory in Event #5, earning $467,700 in prize money. He also secured a $25,000 PGT Passport bonus for winning the series.
The title was decided in the final event, where Jeremy Ausmus needed to finish second or better to overtake Mateos. Ausmus reached four-handed play but was eliminated in fourth place.
Ausmus Falls Short of the Purple Jacket
Seven players entered the final day of the last event, with Ausmus still able to move ahead of Mateos in the series standings.
Ausmus made it down to four players before losing his final hand against Sean Winter.
Winter raised from the small blind with A♦ K♦, and Ausmus got his chips in from the big blind with pocket fives.
The J-9-3 flop left Ausmus ahead, but an ace on the turn put Winter in front. Another ace on the river eliminated Ausmus in fourth place and confirmed Mateos as the series champion.
Ausmus finished fourth in the overall standings with 389 points. Nick Palma took second with 407 points, while Nick Seward finished third with 397.
