Fedor Holz returned to the Triton Poker winner’s circle in Montenegro, taking down Event #5: $40K NLH 7-Handed Mystery Bounty after outlasting a 111-entry field.
The victory gave Holz his fifth career Triton title and an official first-place payout of $528,811, before the value of his bounty envelopes was added. Holz also collected 11 bounty pulls, each carrying a minimum value of $40,000.
The result added another historical layer to Holz’s Triton record. He won the first-ever Triton Poker tournament in the Philippines in 2016. Ten years later, he claimed another Triton title in Montenegro.

Final Table Action
Leonard Maue entered the final table as chip leader, with Holz also among the largest stacks. The final table featured Holz, Maue, Aleks Ponakovs, Nick Petrangelo, Mike Watson, Jean-Noel Thorel and Mikhail Soltanov.
Soltanov was the first player eliminated from the official final table, finishing seventh for $99,000. Thorel followed in sixth for $129,000, while Watson exited in fifth for $164,000.
Maue, who had started the final table in front, finished fourth for $203,000. Petrangelo then exited in third for $245,000, leaving Holz and Ponakovs to play heads-up for the title.
Heads-Up Battle
Holz began heads-up play with a large chip advantage, but Ponakovs fought back quickly. The two players agreed to an ICM deal that locked up $508,811 for Holz and $407,189 for Ponakovs, with $20,000 and the trophy left to play for. Bounties were not included in the deal.
Ponakovs won the first 13 hands of heads-up play and briefly moved into the lead. Holz later regained control and put Ponakovs under pressure again.
Ponakovs continued to resist, but Holz eventually closed out the match. On the final hand, Ponakovs moved all in on the river, and Holz made the call to seal the victory.

Holz Adds Another Triton Milestone
Holz’s latest win gave him a fifth Triton title and 11 bounty envelopes still to be drawn, with each envelope worth at least $40,000. For Ponakovs, the runner-up finish came after a heads-up comeback attempt that briefly put him in front.
For Holz, the Montenegro Mystery Bounty title added another verified Triton result to a record that began with the tour’s inaugural event in 2016.
