Tarun Guwalani Wins Inaugural APT Jeju Baby Zodiac Classic for KRW 61.1M

India’s Tarun Guwalani won the inaugural Baby Zodiac Classic (Sponsored by Natural8) at APT Jeju 2026, defeating China’s Hongbo Pan heads-up for his first APT title. The win earned Guwalani KRW 61,158,000 (approximately USD 45,980), the second-largest tournament score of his career.

The KRW 1.5M (approximately USD 1,100) buy-in event drew 223 entries from 152 unique players, creating a KRW 289,008,000 (approximately USD 217,300) prize pool. Sixty-nine players returned for the Final Day, with 31 places paid and a min-cash of KRW 2,540,000 (approximately USD 1,910).

Guwalani Comes Back From a 4:5 Chip Deficit Heads-Up

Guwalani began heads-up play at roughly a 4:5 chip deficit to Pan. The match lasted 29 hands and close to three 40-minute levels before Guwalani completed the comeback.

Pan finished runner-up for KRW 41,150,000 (approximately USD 30,940), the largest tournament score of his career.

Ryan Plant finished third for KRW 29,020,000 (approximately USD 21,820). It was his fifth cash and fourth final table of the festival, including one title, taking his total APT Jeju 2026 earnings past USD 194,000.

Natural8 ambassador Hua Wei Lin finished 10th for KRW 5,920,000 (approximately USD 3,980), falling one place short of what would have been her 26th career APT final table.

Haruki Ichiki Leads Micro Main Event Final Day

Japan’s Haruki Ichiki finished Flight B with 556,000 chips to take the overall lead into the Micro Main Event Final Day.

The KRW 750K (approximately USD 550) event drew 173 entries from 98 unique players across three opening flights. Twenty-six players advanced, each guaranteed at least KRW 1,260,000 (approximately USD 950) from the KRW 125,000,000 (approximately USD 93,985) prize pool.

Main Event finalist Weimin Chen topped Flight A with 450,000 chips and sits second overall. China’s Yingjie Chen led the Turbo Flight C with 372,000 and will return fourth in the overall counts.

The Micro Main Event champion will receive KRW 27,980,000 and the championship trophy.
