MELBOURNE, Australia — The Aussie Millions Poker Championship returned to Crown Melbourne from April 24 to May 10, 2026, ending a six-year absence from major live poker schedules.
The series had been away since its 2020 edition, following years shaped by COVID-era disruption and operational changes at Crown. According to Crown Melbourne, the 18-tournament festival generated a total prize pool exceeding AU$22.5 million.
Malcolm Trayner Wins the Aussie Millions Main Event
The AU$10,600 Aussie Millions Main Event drew 770 entries, making it the fifth-largest Main Event in the tournament’s history.
After five days of play, Australia’s Malcolm Trayner won the title, topping a seven-handed final table made up entirely of Australian players. The final three players, Trayner, Dean Blatt, and Dejan Boskovic, agreed to a three-way ICM deal before playing on for the title.
Trayner received AU$1,382,198 under the deal-adjusted payout terms. Blatt finished second for AU$1,000,072, while Boskovic took third for AU$921,030.
