Adrian Mateos has added another major title to his career, winning Event #41: $250,000 No-Limit Hold’em Super High Roller at the 2026 World Series of Poker.
The Spanish pro earned $4,334,411 for the victory and secured his sixth career WSOP bracelet, becoming the youngest player in poker history to reach that milestone.
The event concluded inside the Paris Ballroom in Las Vegas, where Mateos defeated Bryn Kenney heads-up after a final table featuring several of the biggest names in high-stakes poker.
Mateos Wins a major Super High Roller victory
Nine players returned for the final day, with all remaining players already in the money after the bubble burst on Day 2.
Jason Koon began the day as one of the shorter stacks but quickly became one of the main stories of the final table. After doubling through Kenney early, Koon went on to eliminate Michael “Texas Mike” Moncek in ninth place for $518,518.
Phil Ivey, an 11-time WSOP bracelet winner and Poker Hall of Famer, finished eighth for $553,270. Ivey was eliminated when his pocket jacks could not overcome Kenney’s pocket queens.
Koon continued to build momentum by eliminating Brandon Wilson in seventh place for $629,397. Wilson and Koon both connected with top pair on the flop, but Koon’s better kicker decided the hand. Samuel Mullur was also knocked out by Koon, finishing sixth for $760,417.
Mateos Takes Control Late
Koon’s run ended in fifth place after a major all-in clash with Mateos. Koon held ace-king, while Mateos had pocket tens. Mateos won the flip, sending Koon out for $972,375.
Mateos then eliminated Sean Winter in fourth place. Winter moved in with ace-nine but ran into Mateos’ pocket aces, and the board did not change the outcome. Winter earned $1,312,037.
Bryn Kenney later eliminated David Einhorn in third place for $1,862,941. Einhorn moved in with a straight draw, but Kenney had already made a straight on the flop.
That hand helped Kenney enter heads-up play with about 50 million chips against Mateos’ 33 million.
Heads-Up Turnaround Seals the Bracelet
Although Kenney started the duel ahead, the match shifted after Mateos made a straight on the turn in a key hand.
Soon after, the final hand arrived. Mateos flopped two pair against Kenney’s top pair, and the chips went in. Kenney needed help to extend the match, but the turn and river kept Mateos ahead.
Kenney finished second for $2,776,634, while Mateos captured the title, the $4,334,411 top prize and his sixth WSOP bracelet at age 31.
